Project Overview

Dependable Hot Water, Far Less Energy.

An ageing cylinder was slow to recover and expensive to run. Pipewise removed it and installed a high-efficiency unit sized to the household's actual demand.

New high-efficiency water heater installed by Pipewise

An Old Unit Was Costing More Every Year.

The existing heater struggled to keep up with morning demand and was running well below its rated efficiency.

The Challenge

  • Hot water running out each morning

  • Long recovery time between uses

  • Energy costs rising year on year

  • Unit well past its service life

“Booked on the Monday, fitted on the Wednesday. The difference in how quickly the hot water comes through is obvious.”

Correctly Sized, Correctly Installed.

We calculated the household demand, removed the old cylinder, and installed and commissioned the new unit in a single visit.

The Solution

  • Sized the unit to real household demand

  • Removed and disposed of the old cylinder

  • Installed the new unit and safety controls

  • Commissioned and set the flow temperature

The Result

Hot water is now available on demand throughout the day, with a clear drop in the household's energy use.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know before booking your plumbing service.

How long does a project like this take?

Most domestic projects on this scale run between two and five working days. You get a day-by-day schedule before we start, and if anything shifts you hear it from us rather than discovering it.

Will we be without water while you work?

Rarely for long. We stage the work so at least one bathroom and the kitchen stay usable, and any full isolation is agreed with you in advance.

Do you make good the floors and walls?

Yes. Reinstatement is priced into the quote from the start, covering plaster, screed, tiling and any driveway surface we had to open.

Can I see progress while the job runs?

Of course. Your engineer walks you through what was done at the end of each day, and we photograph anything that is about to be closed back up.

Is the finished work guaranteed?

Every project carries a twelve-month guarantee on parts and labour, plus the manufacturer’s own warranty on anything we install.

How do I get a quote for my project?

Send a few photographs and a short description through the contact form. We come back with an indicative range, then arrange a site visit to firm it up.
